This series was made at Cornell Botanic Gardens under an overcast sky, in the suspended moment before rain. Tree shade, water, wooden structures, and plant-covered paths form a damp, low-lit space where the plants are no longer simply scenery to be observed, but a presence that slowly absorbs paths, light, and boundaries. Rather than focusing on the flowers that often attract attention, I was interested in gathering a deep-green, pre-rain perception: quiet, dense, slightly enclosed, yet still allowing a faint light to seep through the dark.
